Day 405

In the midst of packing for my brief trip to Texas, Oslo decided to give his Furby a bath. No wonder Tokyo refuses to drink out of the water bowl; who knows what else that cat has dropped in there?

Day 388

Event of the day: Aunt Lorie's 90th birthday party. Some 50 people showed up, most of which I couldn't remember or recognize, but it was entertaining to see so much support for her nonetheless. If I can reach half her age, with half as many friends, I'll consider myself lucky. :)

Day 387

I have the house to myself today, since Elliott is camping for a bit with Shawn and his family. :) That means I can blast my country music, and play videogames like there is no tomorrow, and spend some quality time with the kids- aka, our cats.

BIG congrats to our friend Arianna, who just got engaged! I have no idea if she ever reads this blog, but either way, I wish all the best for her and the newly-titled fiance! Are we really all growing up and getting to that point already? I can hardly believe it.

Today's project (other than being a lazy ass): Continuing the DVD-compiling.

Day 386

Today: Work, followed by going to Longmont with Elliott + Shawn for dinner and gathering supplies for their short camping trip. Random car photos below.

I didn't even notice the little church advertisement until I played with this photo. Interesting contrast with the rather sketchy night life going on around it.

Day 385

Note to self: Backtrack a bit and insert a few more posts for interesting things over the last few weeks. :P In the meantime, I'm bored, so... have a silly ABC meme.

A - Age: 22 years

B - Bed size: Full

C - Chore you hate: Making the bed (I do plenty of that at work already), cleaning the litter box

D - Dad's name: Bruce

E - Essential start your day item: Coffee. And I can't have just a plain cup of black coffee, it has to be some frilly espresso drink that I can never quite make right at home.

F - Favorite color: Steel blue

G - Gold or Silver: Silver

H - Height: 5'4"

I - Instruments you play(ed): Piano (I've been lazy lately, I need to continue learning)

J - Job title: Patient Care Associate (LOL, aka Certified Nurse Aide)

K - Kid(s): Someday, not for a long time though.

L - Living arrangements: With my two-legged boy Elliott and my two four-legged boys Tokyo and Oslo. We need another woman around the house (which is why the dog is going to be a girl apparently)

M - Mom's name: Jan

N - Nicknames: Cat, Kitty, Tiki (online)

O - Overnight hospital other than birth: Never. *knocks on wood*

P - Pet Peeve: People who ride my tail all the way to work in the morning. I'm sorry, but there is construction 3/4ths of the way now and I WILL be going 25 mph no matter how much you try to shove me forward, jackasses.

Q - Quote from a movie: "Leeloo Dallas MULTIPASS!"

R - Right or left handed: Right, but I used to be ambidextrous thanks to breaking my wrist when I was little

S - Siblings: Nada

T - Time you wake up: If I'm working, 5:50 am. If I'm not, probably noon LOL

U- Underwear: Yes, it's on me

V - Vegetable you dislike: I like almost everything except cooked carrots. Carrots are supposed to be crunchy, not mushy.

W - Ways you run late: Oversleeping, getting distracted on the computer

X - X-rays you've had: Just my wrist

Y - Yummy food you make: I can boil water to make pasta. Yay?

Z - Zoo favorite: So hard to choose, but I do love the big cats. As long as they don't look too miserable in their small enclosures :(

Day 384

Saw Angels & Demons tonight with Elliott (we've been seeing a ton of movies lately, huh?). It was alright, not as good as the book (as usual) and yet it still had a lot of the book's annoyances intact... such as the 30-second cycle of "it's a mystery! Whatever shall we do? Robert Langdon knows the answer. It's a new mystery! We're doomed! But Robert Langdon can help!"

Picture outside the theater. I've decided that Colorado sunsets are my go-to photo if nothing else is available.
